All subscriptions of iGradePlus offer extensive student / parent communications tools that include student and parent portal accounts. In addition to the many communication features which include Event Calendars, Bulletin Boards, Blogs, and News Feed, the system also provides several features that help facilitate remote learning.
Video Meetings
We have integrated the Zoom service into iGradePlus that allows teachers to conduct video meetings with their students from inside the iGradePlus web app. Teachers can schedule Zoom meetings which appear in the student portals calendar and allow students to join those meetings from within the iGradePlus portal. Students do not need to have a Zoom account or install a separate application to participate in a class video meeting. All they need to do is click the meeting link in the portal and they'll be joined to the video meeting. It really makes the whole video meeting scheduling and participation process painless.
Assignment Submission and Grading
Teachers can create and assign assignments to their classes. Those assignments can have documents attached to them that students can then download via their portal accounts. Students' completed work can then be uploaded in a variety of electronic document formats or they can even take a photo of their completed work on paper and then upload it for the teacher to grade. Teachers can view, markup, and comment on the uploaded completed document within iGradePlus and then return the graded work to the students with a click of a button.
Online Class Discussions
Class discussions allow teachers to post a question or topic for discussion that is visible to students via their portal account. Students can post answers or questions that the teacher or other students can respond to. Class discussions are similar to discussion forums that you find scattered about the internet.
